A sibling group of a 5-year-old girl, a 4-year-old boy, and a 1-year-old boy were removed by DFS and are currently in the protective care of the Department due to physical risk and inadequate supervision by the parents. The mother was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia, and child abuse. The father of the newborn was arrested for a warrant and child abuse and neglect. The father of the two older children was recently released from prison and cannot take custody of his minor children. At this time, these children need an attorney to represent their legal wishes and rights as to permanency, placement, and visitation and to ensure appropriate services are in place.
