Federal Pro Bono Program

An inmate is seeking assistance with a federal civil rights complaint stemming from alleged deliberate indifference to serious medical conditions in violation of the 8th Amendment, including a compressed spine, carpal tunnel, and nerve damage in both hands. While he received treatment, including medication and physical therapy, he alleges he has been denied surgical intervention necessary and approved to address his compressed cervical spine and carpal tunnel. Without surgical intervention, his pain and suffering have increased. He also believes the damage could be permanent, possibly leading to paralysis, if he does not receive the surgeries.
