A 6-year old girl is in the care of Clark County Family Services (CCFS) due to allegations of neglect and physical risk against the child’s caregiver. Reports of repeated sexual assaults perpetrated by the paternal caregiver to one of the child’s older siblings alerted CCFS to the situation. The mother lacks the protective capacity to prevent these assaults from occurring; and, instead allows the abuser access to the residence and exposure to the children. The child’s sister, who is the main target of this sexually abusive conduct, is currently being represented by separate counsel in the same matter. However, this child is still in need of an attorney to represent her legal wishes and rights. The next hearing is on January 15th, 2025 at 2:30 p.m. in Courtroom 11.
