Currently, a 7-year old boy is in the custody of Clark County Family Services (CCFS) due to allegations made against the parents concerning neglectful conditions and sexual abuse. Many of the allegations are levied towards the child’s father, who is reported to instigate and perpetrate violent behavior within the household– there are reports of punching, strangulating, and performing sexually degrading acts. Some of these abusive acts are directed towards the child’s older sibling, who is represented in the same matter under different counsel. Despite this, the mother remains in close contact with the abuser and allows him access to the residence and exposure to the children. At this time, this young boy requires an attorney to represent his wishes and legal rights. The next hearing is on January 29th, 2025 at 10:15 a.m. in Courtroom 11.
