This client, who is incarcerated in the custody of the Nevada Department of Corrections, has submitted a civil rights complaint pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983. The hospital staff deliberately delayed medical treatment by refusing to give her medical attention after she repeatedly complained of pain and serious symptoms, including blood in her stool, difficulty breathing, neck pain and fainting. As a result, she lost consciousness and fell to the ground, striking her head on a sharp cell ledge. She was discovered non-responsive in a pool of her blood.
