Currently, a newborn infant girl is in the care of Clark County Family Services (CCFS) due to concerns of parental fitness and capability for child-rearing. The parents have an ongoing, separate dependency case revolving around the removal of their two other children due to persistent parental drug abuse. Both parents demonstrate an inability to manage their use of illegal drugs, resulting in this newborn infant being born substance-dependent upon delivery. At this time, this vulnerable infant requires an attorney to represent her legal wishes and rights as to permanency, placement, visitation, and to ensure appropriate services are in place. The next hearing is scheduled for December 4th, 2024 and will take place in Courtroom 10.
