An 8-year old girl came into DFS care after impending danger threats to the minor were identified.  The mother has a history with the Department resulting in the removal of her two older children.  The mother has a history of substance abuse and lacks the resources to provide this minor with the basic needs.  The Department has also reported that minor poses a risk of sexual harm.  The mother’s boyfriend, who is normally found in the home was convicted of sexual abuse to a minor.  He is a Tier One registered sex offender, and the mother has allowed him to be around minor.  The named father has not established paternity and has had no contact with minor.  It has also been reported that he has a history of domestic violence.  This minor girl is in need of an attorney to represent her legal wishes and rights as to permanency, placement, visitation, and to ensure appropriate services are in place.  Next Hearing(s): Plea Hearing on 06/07/2023 at 9:45 am in Courtroom 11.
