Two sibling boys ages 3-year old and 10-month old came into DFS custody due to inadequate supervision and physical risk of the minor children.  There have been several reports that mother calls family members while intoxicated asking them for minor’s to be picked up.  The mother’s substance abuse is unmanageable and unpredictable.  The father of the children is currently incarcerated due to Battery Domestic Violence.  The children are extremely vulnerable due to their ages and developmental capacities.  There is no protective caregiver in the home.  At this time, these minor boys are in need of an attorney to represent their legal wishes and rights as to permanency, placement, visitation, and to ensure appropriate services are in place.  Next Hearing(s):  Plea Hearing on 06/06/2023 at 9:45 am in Courtroom 10.
