A-newborn baby boy was removed by DFS due to the parent’s use of illegal drugs and alcohol, mental health and domestic violence.  There are reports that the parent’s drug use has put this newborn boy in danger as they frequently leave him in the care of others due to their substance abuse or lack of resources.  The mother has untreated mental health issues, she has been hospitalized due to concerns of her mental health and she requires ongoing treatment.  Both parents have been involved in incidents of domestic violence in the presence of the minor.  Mother has remained in the relationship despite the ongoing violence despite the ongoing domestic violence.  The parents lack housing, income and employment to provide for the basic needs of the baby.  At this time, this newborn baby boy is in need of an attorney to represent his wishes and legal rights as to permanency, placement, visitation, and to ensure appropriate services are in place.  Next Hearing(s): Disposition Hearing on 06/28/2023 at 1:30 pm in Courtroom 11.
