A group of three siblings ages, 4-year old boy, 3-year old boy, and 2-year old girl came were removed by DFS due to neglect, improper care, lack of shelter and other care necessary for their well-being. The mother lacks safe and stable housing, income and employment to provide for the basic needs of the children. Mother is unemployed, she is transient and has a history of homelessness. The Department previously assisted mother with obtaining housing, which she did not maintain. The parents have a lengthy history of domestic violence and the father has issues with drugs. An in-home safely plan could not be implemented due to the family’s homelessness. The natural mother was incarcerated and the father is in a virtual rehabilitation center. At this time, these children are in need of an attorney to represent their legal wishes and rights as to permanency, placement, visitation, and to ensure appropriate services are in place.
