This is a case involving a group of five siblings.  This case is particularly to the 10-year old, 9-year old and 2-year old siblings.  The father has a history of physically abusing the children.  The report indicates that he has abused one of the older kids by hitting her with a belt, punching her and making her stand in the corner for over hours as punishment.  The parents have also been involved in several incidents of domestic violence in the presence of the children.  The father lacks impulse control and has history of engagement in domestic violence as the perpetrator.  The mother lacks the ability to protect the children from the father’s violence by continuing to expose them.  At this time, these two girls are in need of an attorney to represent their legal wishes and rights as to permanency, placement, visitation, and to ensure appropriate services are in place.  Next Hearing(s):  Calendar Call/Disposition Hearing on 06/20/2023 at 10:30 am and Adjudicatory Trial on 07/07/2023 at 9:30 am in Courtroom 11.
