This is a case involving a group of five siblings.  This case is particularly to the 15-year old and 14-year old girls.  The father has a history of abusing the children.  The report indicates that he has hit the 15-year old with a belt, punched her, and made her stand in the corner for over hours as punishment.  The parents have also been involved in several incidents of domestic violence in the presence of the children.  The father lacks impulse control and has history of engagement in domestic violence as the perpetrator.  The mother lacks the ability to protect the children from the father’s violence by continuing to expose them.  At this time, these two girls are in need of an attorney to represent their legal wishes and rights as to permanency, placement, visitation, and to ensure appropriate services are in place.  Next Hearing(s):  Disposition Hearing on 06/13/2023 at 1:30 pm in Courtroom 11.
