A newborn baby girl came into DFS custody due to parental drug use and domestic violence.  Both parents have exposed infant to drugs and alcohol.  The mother tested positive for drugs on or about minor’s birth.  It has also been reported that minor has been exposed to other individuals who were using or possessed illegal drugs while in the home.  Additionally, the parents has history of domestic violence.  The mother was recently arrested for Battery Domestic Violence against the father.  They lack the resources to provide minor with the basic needs.  As such, this infant is in need of an attorney to represent her wishes and legal rights as to permanency, placement, visitation, and to ensure appropriate services are in place.  Next Hearing(s): Adjudicatory Trial on 08/24/2023 at 11:00 am in Courtroom 13.
