A newborn baby boy came into DFS care due to parental drug use.  The parents have an open petition as to another child in which, they have not successfully completed case plan services in which included addressing their substance abuse issues, domestic violence, and mental health issues.  Infant baby was exposed to drugs uterus and the mother admitted to using THC while pregnant.  The parents lack sable housing and income to provide for the basic needs of the child.  At this time, this infant boy is in need of an attorney to represent his wishes and legal rights as to permanency, placement, visitation, and to ensure appropriate services are in place. Next Hearing(s): Status Check Hearing (Relinquishment) on 06/15/2023 at 3:30 p.m. and Review Hearing on 09/14/2023 at 3:30 p.m. in Courtroom 12.
