A 6-year old boy was removed by DFS due to unsafe environment where narcotic were used, and narcotics paraphernalia was within access of minor boy.  The father admitted to leaving minor alone in a hotel room while he partied.  The minor boy was found alone in the hotel room which was messy and drugs were found.  The father was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substances, child abuse/neglect and probation violation. The mother has a substantial history of mental health instability which continues to make her an inappropriate care provider for minor.  The mother acts our violently against family members and has been previously arrested numerous times in Nye County for domestic violence.  At this time, this boy is in need of of an attorney to represent his legal wishes and rights as to permanency, placement, visitation, and to ensure appropriate services are in place.  Next Hearing(s): Review Hearing on 08/01/2023 at 2:30 pm in Courtroom 10.
