A 10-year-old boy came into DFS custody over after his adoptive mother refused to allow the boy back into her home and did not make alternate arrangements after an incident. The boy suffers has been diagnosed with ADHD and ODD. He sees a psychiatrist regularly and is taking medication. On a recent incident, he attacked his adoptive mother and the police were called. He was taken to UMC hospital. Upon release, adoptive mother indicated she is pregnant and she will not put her family in danger by allowing him to return to her care. At this time, this child is in need of an attorney to represent his legal wishes and rights as to permanency, placement, visitation, and to ensure appropriate services are in place.
