A newborn baby girl came into DFS custody after both minor and mother tested positive for drugs after birth. Parents lack the ability to properly care for newborn due to drug abuse. The Department has not been able to locate any relatives at this time. Minor remains in protective custody and placed at the hospital. At this time, this baby girl is in need of an attorney to represent her legal wishes and rights as to permanency, placement, visitation, and to ensure appropriate services are in place.  The next hearing(s): Adjudicatory Trial on 05/25/2023 at 11:00 a.m. In Courtroom 13.
