Newborn baby boy came into DFS custody after being born premature and experiencing respiratory distress at birth.  Baby boy is the product of an assault and the father is unknown.  Natural mother has a history of mental health related issues and has three other children not in her care.  The Department also found out that the mother continues to have a relationship with the father of her other children, even though there is an active Protection Order Against Domestic Violence against him.  At this time, this baby boy is in need of an attorney to represent his legal rights and wishes as to permanency, placement, visitation, and to ensure appropriate services are in place.  The next hearing(s):  Disposition Hearing on March 20, 2023, at 10:00 am in Courtroom 8.
