Newborn baby girl came into DFS custody after mother was found at a gas station acting erratic and was taken to the hospital.  Both parents have history with drug use and their parental rights were terminated in early 2022 as to two other children.  The parents lack the protective capacity and do not have a safe place for this newborn.  They claimed they were residing with mother’s parents, however, the grandparents have denied it.  At this time this child is in need of an attorney to represent her legal wishes and rights as to permanency, placement, visitation, and to ensure appropriate services are in place.  Next hearing(s) Review Hearing on 03/28/2023 at 2:30 pm in Courtroom 8.
