Case Number: 2022-013365

In Federal Pro Bono Program

Daine, an inmate at Warm Springs Correctional Center, alleges he was injured in pre-trial detention at Clark County Detention Center (CCDC) and has not received the proper medical care while in custody. He alleges he was assaulted during a pat down search in CCDC. He also asserts CCDC officers used excessive force by folding his arms behind his back and twisting his wrist toward his shoulders, then forcing him into a restraint chair and holding him by his throat while another officer tightened the straps of the chair. He alleges his wrist and thumb went numb and he suffered a wrist fracture that requires surgery he has not had yet. Because of the lack of medical care, he believes his wrist is now deformed and requires additional care. As a result, he filed a civil rights lawsuit and is in need of an attorney to assist him in this case through the Federal Pro Bono Program. Next Deadline(s): Reply to Motion for Summary Judgment due 11/22/2022.
