A newborn boy came into DFS custody over concerns of substance exposure. He was regularly exposed to other individuals who were using and/or possessed illegal drugs and were under the influence. At the time of removal, both parents submitted to a hair and urine drug test and tested positive. Both parents have a long history of illicit substance abuse which impacts their ability to care and provide for the minor. At this time, this minor boy is in need of an attorney to represent his legal wishes and rights as to permanency, placement, visitation, and to ensure appropriate services are in place.  Next Hearing(s): Permanency Planning Hearing on 09/05/2023 at 3:00 pm in Courtroom 10.
