Three siblings, ages 15, 11, & 3 yrs, came into DFS care with their older brother due to their mother’s emotional instability, developmental status, or cognitive deficiency impairing her ability to care for the children. This case is specific to the 15-year-old, 11-year-old, and 3-year-old. The family has prior history with DFS because of allegations of environmental neglect and inadequate supervision. Attempts were made to locate the natural fathers and two have been located. The children have been placed together with fictive kin. These children are in need of an attorney to represent their legal wishes and rights as to permanency, placement, visitation, and to ensure appropriate services are in place.
