A newborn baby girl came into DFS custody after mother tested positive for methamphetamine and heroin at the time of baby girl’s birth. Both parents have a history of drug use and drug related arrests and convictions. The parents are homeless and do not have the ability to provide for the basic needs of the child. At this time, the child is in need of an attorney to represent her wishes and legal rights as to permanency, placement, visitation and to ensure appropriate services are in place.
