An 8-month-old girl came into DFS care in July 2022 after their mother and her girlfriend were involved in a domestic violence incident. Initially the mother agreed to an out-of-home present danger plan with a maternal relative that transitioned into an in-home plan. She violated the in-home safety plan resulting in present danger and the need to take protective custody of the child. There is a pattern of domestic violence between the two women. Both women withheld details of the incident. The mother denies that anything physical occurred and advised that she did not have her daughter with her. She further denied violating the in-home plan. The child is placed with a relative. As a result, this little baby is in need of an attorney to represent her legal wishes and rights as to permanency, placement, visitation, and to ensure appropriate services are in place. Next Hearing(s): Plea Hearing on 8/17/2022 at 10:00 a.m. in Courtroom 13.
