Minor girls ages 5 and 3 came into DFS custody on June 11, 2022 after mother left the minor children to be cared by her older son. Mother is aware that son has behavioral issues, has displayed aggressive behaviors since the death of his grandmother, suffers from ADHD and has untreated mental health issues. Older sibling left the girls alone and unsupervised. When DFS investigator inspected the home, it was found to be in inadequate conditions. The mother tested positive for methamphetamine on her last drug test. Also, the parents have an extensive history of domestic violence witnessed by the children. At this time, these two sibling girls are in need of an attorney to represent their legal wishes and rights as to permanency, placement, and visitation and to ensure appropriate services are in place.
