Michael entered into a rent-to-own contract with an individual on 9/3/2020 in which he agreed to pay $900 monthly. The contract is recorded. The owner visits the home monthly and he pays her the rent and has all the receipts. He also made two separate down payments of $3,000 and $2,000. He only has a receipt for the $2,000 payment. At the beginning of April 2022, the owner of the property verbally informed him that his rent was going up to $1500 due to inflation. No notice of this increase was given in writing.  He is seeking assistance with enforcing the contract to maintain rent at $900 and would like to set up a 3rd party to collect rent from him to avoid relying on the owner to come to the home for the rent to be paid. He would also like the property taxes transferred to his name. He is seeking assistance with this matter.
