1 year old girl came into DFS care on June 19, 2020 due to failure to provide safe shelter for the minor child and possible drug use by the natural parents rendering them incapable to provide for the child. Natural parents have been observed smoking rnethamphetamine and heroin in the presence of the minor child. The home was inspected and found to be without power, broken glass and debris littered the home. The child has been removed from the home by relatives when the parents have been found passed out. The minor child had a bright red rash on his bottom, he had a cut on his left index finger which appeared swollen (possibly from infection). There were other marks, bruises or cuts on the minor child as well. Next hearing is a Review Hearing on 12/15/2020 at 2:15 pm in Courtroom 11.
