Newborn baby came into DFS care on February 18, 2019. Mother had arranged for a private adoption before giving birth. At the time of birth issues arose concerning her mental health and the private agency did not believe she could effectively relinquish her parental rights. The child was born substance exposed and mother later admitted using methamphetamine every day of her pregnancy. Mother was discharged to a mental health facility to address her mental health needs, either on an in-patient or out-patient basis, and left the facility within 24 hours. Her present whereabouts are unknown. The true identity of natural father is unknown. Mother has extensive CPS history. Next hearing is a Review Hearing on 8/18/2020 at 2:15 pm in Courtroom 11.
