A one month old boy came into DFS care in January 2020 due to allegations of physical risk by his mother. She did not receive prenatal care until the month before the baby was born. Meconium results indicated the baby was positive for amphetamines. The mother has a history of methamphetamine use which negatively influences her behavior to engage in criminal activity, unable to maintain stable housing an engage in domestic violence. The father has criminal history and has been in an out of prison. The mother has two older children who are not in her care. Both parents cannot control their behavior due to their ongoing substance use, domestic violence and criminal activity. The child has been placed with a relative. The parents are to have supervised visitation. Next hearing is a Permanency Planning Hearing on 12/16/2020 at 3:00 pm in Courtroom 22.
