Abuse/Neglect Cases

An 8-month-old baby boy is under the protective custody of Clark County Family Services due to reports of parental unavailability and substance abuse. The mother committed suicide shortly after the child’s birth, leaving him under the care of the father. Recent drug tests confirm the father is a habitual substance abuser and is therefore an unsuitable caregiver for this vulnerable baby boy. This young child needs an attorney to represent his legal wishes and rights as to permanency, placement, and visitation and to ensure appropriate services are in place. The next hearing is on January 26th, 2027 at 2 p.m. in Courtroom 7.
