Abuse/Neglect Cases

A 13-year-old boy and his two younger half-brothers, ages 4 and 3, are all under the care of Clark County Family Services due to reports of parental incarceration and lack of resources. The mother was recently arrested for driving a stolen vehicle. Her incarceration left her children without a suitable caregiver. It was revealed that leading up to the arrest, the mother had been unhoused and residing in a U-Haul truck.  The father has a prior criminal history relating to child abuse charges and is therefore unable to take custody of the children. These vulnerable children require an attorney to advocate for their rights. The next hearing is on September 8th, 2026, at 10 a.m. in Courtroom 7.
