Michelle Darquea of Michelle Darquea, Esq.

Michelle Darquea moved to Las Vegas from New York in 1999. She received her Juris Doctorate from Touro Law School. Michelle first started doing pro bono for Nassau County Legal Services and continued her pro bono work in Las Vegas. Michelle has been a volunteer with the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada ever since it was named Clark County Legal Services.

Michelle has played a critical role with the Family Law Ask-A-Lawyer Program. Due to the pandemic, we have experienced an overwhelming demand in this area. Michelle volunteers almost every week and goes above and beyond to ensure that participants receive legal assistance.

When we asked Michelle to share a story about a memorable client, she said “Obviously, all clients are unique and memorable in their own ways. Some clients call and are in dire straits with their situations, so it always warms my heart when they say thank you so much because they felt helpless and hopeless until they receive my assistance. That makes it all worth it: to help someone in despair and to make a positive contribution in their lives.”

For her commitment to pro bono, we honor Michelle Darquea as our October Volunteer of the Month.
