This is a conflict case and requires a pro bono attorney to represent two sisters, ages 7 year and 6 years, who came into DFS care on February 18, 2019. Children were left in the care of a reported drug addict while their mother, was hospitalized. The mother is unable to care for the children due to her incapacity as a result of continuing health and medical issues. Mother was discharged from North Vista Hospital to Harmon Medical and Rehabilitation Center for continued medical care and treatment without a discharge date. Natural father is deceased. Mother has a history with DFS. Mother appears to be engaged with the department and has agreed to pursue guardianship with the adoptive Maternal Grandmother for both girls. The children are currently placed with foster parents. At this time the children are in need of an attorney to represent their wishes and legal rights as to permanency, placement, visitation and to ensure appropriate services are in place. There is a Review Hearing set for August 6, 2019 at 2:30 p.m., in Courtroom 14.
