Four children total are in need of representation. Three of the four children, ages 10, 8, and 5 years, came into DFS care on September 11, 2018 due to mother being unable to perform her parental duties. The fourth child, age 1 month, came into DFS care on November 15, 2018 due to concerns with Mother at time of birth. Mother was reported gone for a couple of days and the family does not have the resources to meet basic needs. The oldest children were subsequently placed with maternal aunt, while the newborn has been placed in a foster home. Mother appears to be engaged in the proceedings while the task of establishing paternity remains ongoing. The children are in need of an attorney to represent their wishes and legal rights as to permanency, placement, visitation, and to ensure appropriate services are in place. There is a Review Hearing set for March 26, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. in Courtroom 14.
