Four siblings, ages 9, 8, 1 and 3 months, came into DFS care in August 2019, were removed after the youngest was exposed in utero to narcotic pain medication and heroin. Mother admitted to use; father was working long hours and not in the home to see if mother was functioning appropriately. Parents lost housing prior to the birth of the youngest, and had been staying with family at times. Family has prior CPS involvement for drug use. Siblings are placed together with paternal grandparents, and parents are visiting twice per week. These children are in need of an attorney to represent their legal wishes and rights as to permanency, placement, visitation and to ensure the appropriate services are in place.
