This is a conflict case for our office and requires a pro bono attorney to represent a newborn baby boy who came into DFS care in May 2019, due allegations of physical risk because his mother already has two minor children in the care of the Department of Family Services. His siblings remain in care due mothers ongoing domestic violence and drug abuse. The child is currently placed in a foster home separate from his siblings. This child is in need of an attorney to represent his legal wishes and rights as to permanency, placement, visitation, and to ensure appropriate services are in place. There is an Adjudicatory Plea Hearing set for June 5, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in Courtroom 20.
