This is a conflict case and requires a pro bono attorney to represent a newborn baby who came into DFS care in April 2019 after testing positive for Amphetamines in her urine at the time of delivery. This child has an older, 2 year old brother, who will need to be represented separately. At the time of discharge the mother did not have any means to provide shelter or meet the basic needs of minors as she is currently homeless. The Father is also using illegal substances and homeless. This child is in need of an attorney to represent his legal wishes and rights as to permanency, placement, visitation, and to ensure appropriate services are in place. There is a Report and Disposition Hearing set for May 29, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in Courtroom 20.
