This is a conflict case and requires a pro bono attorney to represent three children, ages newborn to 3 years of age, who came into care in January of 2019, alleging physical abuse, bruising, failure to protect and environmental neglect. The children were in the care of two adults that appeared to be under the influence. The home was in deplorable conditions with fecal matter all over the bathrooms, toys and children’s hands. These children were removed with two older children in a companion case. Both kids in the companion case were found to have bruises and it was reported that the mother’s boyfriend, who is the natural father in the case was the main source of the abuse. Mother reportedly has Mental Health problems along with father and she supposedly has seizures due to anxiety. The children are currently placed with fictive kin. These children are in need of an attorney to represent their legal rights and wishes to permanency, placement, visitation, and to ensure appropriate services are in place. There is a Review Hearing set for July 24, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in Courtroom 21.
