Two siblings, ages 15 years and 10 years, came into DFS care in January 2019 when their mother fled a traffic stop. CPS made contact with the mother after the traffic stop; she admitted to not having stable housing for the children. She also admitted to having active warrants for old traffic matters and report issues with drugs. The whereabouts of the children’s father is unknown. They are currently placed with their maternal uncle. Supervised visitation with their mother has been arranged. These siblings need someone to advocate for their placement wishes, legal rights and to make sure they are connected with appropriate services, including independent living programming for the oldest child. There is an Adjudicatory Hearing Plea on February 20, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in Courtroom 22.
