A six month old child was handed off to a stranger so her mother could do drugs. CPS removed this child from the care of the stranger and is in the process of evaluating placement with a family friend. This child has two older half brothers who were previously in the system – they may be with their father but that is not clear at this time. This child is in need of an attorney to represent her legal rights and wishes as to placement, permanency, visitation, and to ensure appropriate services are in place. There is an Adjudicatory Plea Hearing set for February 11, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in Courtroom 23.
