A 9 year old child was removed from the care of his biological parents four years ago over concerns of domestic violence, drug use, and general neglect. All children in the home were developmentally delayed, educationally neglected and had not received proper medical care. Although the parents initially made progress on their case plans, the parents relinquished their parental rights earlier this year making this child legally free for adoption but an adoptive resource has not yet been identified. This child has three younger siblings and has displayed behaviors which are harmful to them. Given the severity of the behaviors, there may be a push to keep this child from his siblings for good however, this child very much wants to be in his siblings lives. He is a good student and very polite to adults. This child is in need of an attorney to advocate for his legal wishes and rights to permanency, placement, visitation, and to ensure appropriate services are in place. There is a Review Hearing set for April 17, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. in Courtroom 23.
