Three year old child has been in DFS custody for most of her life as the result of her mother’s drug use. The child’s mother made some progress on her case plan; she secured housing, financial assistance, and some income. Because mom was doing so well, the child was returned to her mother’s care. While the child was in her mother’s care, mom suffered her second relapse, and the child was placed back into foster care. This case is going to be moving towards a termination of parental rights and the child is in need of an attorney to advocate for her legal rights and wishes as to placement, visitation, permanency, and to ensure appropriate services are in place. There is a Review Hearing set for May 8, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. in Courtroom 23.
