Client is 61 years old and disabled. Her daughter kicked her out of her home. Client purchased house w/ her partner with whom she has a daughter in common. They were unmarried at that time. Estimated $257k value, $100k Mortgage. Then her partner passed away, with no will left behind. Client is ½ owner of the property according the deed on record w/ the assessor’s office. Daughter acquired the other 1/2 of the property in 2016 after her father’s death. Daughter does not make payments and client cannot afford to either. Client does not wish to return to the property, she wants assistance w/ possible partition lawsuit. Client wants to split their proceeds after paying off the mortgage balance.
