This 14 year old child came into care on September 21, 2018 with his siblings due to domestic violence. In which some of the children would get involved in defense of their mother. CPS had previously been called out to their home for domestic violence. They attempted to intervene to mitigate the threat and prevent the removal of the children. Part of the plan was to move father out of the home. Father moved in with his parents and a safety plan was developed. On September 18th, 2018 the specialist made an announced visit to supervise the visit with father and the children. During the visit mother admitted that they both had violated the safety plan. Mother has mental health issues. Children’s siblings are being represented by a CAP Staff Attorney. This child is need of a separate attorney to advocate for his legal rights and wishes as to permanency, placement, and visitation. There is a Disposition Hearing set for December 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. and a Review Hearing set for March 12, 2019 at 2:30 p.m., Both in Courtroom 20.
