Three siblings, ages 9 years to 5 years, came into DFS care in August 2018 due to the natural parents being homeless and the mother is in treatment for her mental health. The children have been left in the care of their maternal grandparents off and on over the years due to the natural parents having ongoing issues with homelessness, substance abuse, mental health, and domestic violence. The family has history with the Department. The natural father’s whereabouts are unknown. The children have been placed with their maternal grandparents. An attorney is needed to represent the children’s wishes and legal rights regarding permanency, placement, visitation, and to ensure the appropriate services are in place. There is a Review Hearing on February 27, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. in Courtroom 22.
