Two children were in the care of an adult via a guardianship and her boyfriend. There is domestic Violence occurring and ongoing domestic violence in the home. The guardian, has not taken efforts to protect the children from exposure to the domestic violence and initially indicated that she would allow her boyfriend to return to the home. These children had separate wishes as to placement and are now needing separate attorneys. One child has since been placed, the second child was placed and then given back by the attorney due to a conflict. This child is an autistic child and has stated that he has seen his guardian and her boyfriend hit each other and he is afraid. The children were placed in protective custody on August 5, 2018. This child is in need of an attorney to represent his legal wishes and rights as to permanency, placement, and visitation. There is a Disposition Hearing set for February 19, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. in Courtroom 11.
