Two children, ages 8 and 9, came into care on June 2, 2018 after their maternal uncle could no longer care for them. On May 1, 2018, the mother was arrested for violating probation and sent to live in a child-free rehabilitation center. Mother gave the children to her sister however on May 10 she called the police and said she could not care for the children because the older son was in an altercation with her son. Currently the children are placed at Child Haven as no relatives are willing or able to take them in. The oldest son has been diagnosed with PTSD, Disruptive Mood Disorder and Oppositional Defiant Disorder. The younger son has been diagnosed with ADHD. An attorney is needed to represent the interests of the children. There is a Disposition Hearing on August 7, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. in Courtroom 11 and a Review Hearing on November 27, 2018 at 2:15 p.m. in Courtroom 11.
