Five children, aged 1 to 15 years, came into DFS care in August of 2017 after allegations of inadequate supervision, physical risk and inadequate food. Both parents reportedly use methamphetamine on a regular basis and consume alcohol daily to the point of intoxication. There is also domestic violence within the home. The three older siblings have a different father and are currently placed together in a separate foster home. The three oldest children are represented by CAP. Mother is also represented by counsel. The two youngest children also have a different father; one of whom is represented by counsel and actively involved in the case and the other is not. An attorney is needed to represent these children’s wishes and legal rights regarding permanency, placement, visitation, and to ensure the appropriate services are in place. There is a Review Hearing on January 23, 2019 at 3:30 p.m. in Courtroom 23.
