33 year old mother, 13 year old son, 7 year old daughter, and 5 year old daughter from Honduras are seeking asylum. They entered the U.S. in January, 2017. They fled Honduras due to threats from drug dealers. Client’s husband was imprisoned for drug trafficking in 2014. At that time, drug dealers went to clients home and threatened to kill her if she or her husband cooperated with police. Drug dealers continued to call client and make threats whenever she was visited family. They told her they knew where she was. Client was afraid whenever she left her house. She moved many times to try and hide and eventually moved in with her mother. In November, 2016, the drug dealers broke into her mother’s house and held the three children at gunpoint. They grabbed client by the hair and told her if her husband signed any papers with police they would send him their children’s heads on a platter. Client fled with children the next morning. Client is currently in removal proceedings. Children may be candidates for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJ). Next Court Date: August 7, 2017 at 9:00 am
