Four siblings, ages 7  years to 3 months, came into DFS care when the youngest child was born exposed to methamphetamine. Mom admitted to using meth 3 to 4 when she was pregnant. Mom also used drugs when she was pregnant in 2014. There is domestic violence in the home. Dad shows characteristics of an addict. The parents want to do drug court. The children are currently separated, but the Department is looking to place them together with fictive kin. Clients need an attorney to represent their wishes and legal interests regarding permanency, placement, and visitation and to ensure the proper services are in place.
